In Deutschland 153 Athleten in Vancouver und Whistler tragen das Gewicht der meisten nationalen bittersüße wohl weltweit das olympische Erbe.

Naturkosmetik gewinnt Berufung in Berlin

Nach dem Vorbild der Lebens-und Bekleidungshersteller, Kosmetik-Hersteller haben LOHAS – Menschen, die einen Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability folgen entdeckt. Die Produkte sich von der Image von Gesundheit Shop Kosmetika, die von der Erde Mütter, indem helle Farben und eine einfache Handhabung, die sie in ein Lifestyle-Accessoire gemacht werden. Die 
Verbraucher sollten wissen, dass sie nicht von allen Hauttypen vertragen werden und sind somit nicht automatisch besser als herkömmliche Produkte.
“Die Wahrheit liegt irgendwo dazwischen”, sagte die deutsche Dermatologe Wolfgang Klee. Personen mit empfindlicher Haut sollten vorsichtig sein. Tatsächlich gibt es keine absolut verläßlichen rechtlichen Leitlinien für die ein Naturkosmetik-Siegel auf ein Produkt. Unter den Bezeichnungen in Deutschland ist ein erteilt von der Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie-und Handelsunternehmen Kennzeichnung eines Erzeugnisses als “geprüfte Naturkosmetik.” More >
Natural cosmetics gaining appeal in Berlin

Following the lead of food and clothing manufacturers, cosmetic makers have discovered LOHAS – people who follow a Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability. The products break away from the image of health store cosmetics used by earth moms by offering bright colours and an ease of use that have made them into a lifestyle accessory. But consumers should know that they are not tolerated by all skin types and thus are not automatically better than conventional products.
“The truth lies somewhere in between,” said German dermatologist Wolfgang Klee. People with sensitive skin should be cautious. There are in fact no completely reliable legal guidelines for putting a natural cosmetic seal on a product. Among the designations in Germany is one granted by the German federal association of industrial and commercial enterprises marking a product as a “tested natural cosmetic.” More >

Berlin’s iconic Brandenburg Gate has served many purposes over the course of the city’s history. Last night it served as one very impressive movie theater. When curtains parted before a huge screen just in front of the Gate, an audience of roughly 2,00 was treated to a restored original version of Frtiz Lang’s 1927 masterpiece, “Metropolis.” More >
Berlin city center will be revitalized

It used to be the center of Berlin. Then it became the center of communist East Berlin. This week, officials in the German capital began a public debate about the future of the Rathaus Forum, the bleak area located in front of city hall. A handful of prominent architects have submitted their own ideas.
With the former communist party headquarters, the Palast der Republik now demolished, and the debate over whether to rebuild the city’s former palace settled (it will be), officials in the German capital are now looking to redevelop neighboring parcels of land that were once the focal point of East Berlin.
